2 teenagers, adult injured in Ogden crash after driver runs stop sign

OGDEN, Utah, Nov. 12, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — Two teenagers and an adult were injured in a crash in Ogden Friday morning.

“At about 7:50 a.m., a Volkswagen passenger car was traveling northbound on 3500 West and ran a stop sign at the intersection with 12th Street,” said a statement from Utah Highway Patrol. “The Volkswagen was struck on the driver’s side by an eastbound GMC pickup who was traveling on 12th Street.”

The GMC then spun into the path of a semi that was traveling westbound on 12th Street.

“The teen male driver of the Volkswagen was airlifted from the scene in critical condition,” the statement said. “The teen passenger of the Volkswagen was also transported to the hospital in serious condition. The driver of the GMC sustained serious injuries and also went to a local hospital.”

The intersection was closed for a period of time to allow for investigation but has now reopened.
