6-Year-Old Flown To Primary Children’s Hospital After Being Hit By Layton City Employee

LAYTON, Utah, April 8, (Gephardt Daily) — A 6-year-old girl was flown to Primary Children’s Hospital Friday after being hit by a Layton city employee in a city vehicle.

In posts on its Twitter page, the Layton Police Department said the girl was hit just after 4 p.m. at Church Street and 2450 North. Witnesses on scene reportedly told police the 6-year-old ran into the street.

Police said the girl was alert and speaking, and had suffered injuries to her upper torso, neck, and head.

The Layton city employee involved in the incident is with the sewer department. The investigation has been turned over to the Davis County Sheriff’s Department.
