66-year-old pedestrian critically injured after being struck by truck in Kearns

KEARNS, Utah, March 4, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — A 66-year-old man was critically injured Wednesday night after being struck by a pickup truck in Kearns.

Unified Police Lt. Shane Manwaring said the crash occurred at about 7:47 p.m. near 4620 West and 5415 South.

A white Ford truck was traveling eastbound on 5415 South when it struck the man, who was dressed in dark clothing, Manwaring said.

Investigators are still determining the circumstances of the crash, including the direction the pedestrian was traveling. Evidence at the scene indicated the man was in the middle of the lane when he was struck.

The driver of the truck remained at the scene and rendered aid to the pedestrian.

The injured man was transported by Unified Fire Authority to Intermountain Medical Center in critical condition.

Manwaring said first responders were performing CPR while transporting him.

The incident remains under investigation.
