DRAPER, UTAH – September 3, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) A traffic accident on I-15 sent one man straight into a construction zone Thursday afternoon.
According to Utah Highway Patrol Trooper William Weaver, a man driving a small passenger car was traveling northbound on I-15 when he did not notice traffic had slowed down. “He was going about 65 mph when he impacted the car in front of him,” said Weaver. “The collision forced another vehicle off to the the left of the highway and down a 16 inch construction embankment.”
“Luckily, neither driver was seriously injured and no one was transported to the hospital,” said Weaver. “We really just want people to keep their eyes on the road and pay attention to what is going on around you.”
The investigation into the accident is still under investigation however a citation is expected to be issued.
Drugs or Alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the accident.
