WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, March 3, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A man called police Friday night to report that he had been robbed by a man wearing a hoodie and brandishing “a very large gun.”
West Valley City Police Lt. Steve Burke said the incident happened at about 10:12 p.m. The victim reported that he was leaving the gym at Vasa Fitness when he was approached by an armed man demanding money. The victim had no cash, so the robber took his cellphone.
Burke said the suspect reportedly fled in a brown car. Detectives will be investigating and checking surveillance video from the gym and other businesses in the area.
