SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, June 23, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — The Bonneville Fire now stands at 84 percent containment.
“Crews will continue strengthen the lines through end of shift today, and likely tomorrow to finalize containment,” says a Utah Fire Info update issued Tuesday afternoon.
“Thanks to incredible work from the firefighters on the ground and in the air for all their hard work.”
The agency chose the aerial photo, above, because “it gives a good perspective of how close the fire came to the University and structures.”
The fire was estimated at 566 acres on Monday and Tuesday.
