SANDY, Utah, June 2, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — The equestrian-themed theatrical show “Odysseo” will play in Sandy an extra week due to overwhelming demand.

Both matinee and evening performances have been added through June 20 at the Shops at South Towne, 10450 S. State St. “Odysseo” had its Utah opening night on April 22 in front of 2,000 spectators, and the total run will be nine weeks.

A news release from Cavalia, the entertainment company behind the production, said more than 84,000 tickets to “Odysseo” have been sold to date.

The 65 horses and 48 artists featured in Odysseo will next make their way to Portland, Oregon, to continue the show’s North American tour.

“The reception of the show in Utah has been overwhelmingly enthusiastic,” said Normand Latourelle, founder and artistic director. “Not only has ‘Odysseo’ been embraced by horse lovers, but also by those who enjoy innovative arts, and we see a lot of families — children, parents and grandparents — coming out to enjoy this unique and rare experience.”

Tickets for the newly added performances are available at www.cavalia.net or by calling 1-866-999-8111. Tickets are priced from $39.50 to $134.50.
