DAVIS COUNTY, Utah, Aug. 2, 2020 (Gephardt Daily) — Davis County Sheriff’s Office officials came to the rescue after a family’s SUV caught fire near Francis Peak.
A Facebook post said the family was driving to the peak, in Farmington Canyon, when their vehicle overheated then caught fire.
Davis County officials rushed to the scene and were able to extinguish the blaze.
“Baby, it’s hot outside,” said a Facebook post from DCSO. “Before heading for the hills or the open road be sure to check your gauges and make sure everything is working properly. If your car starts to overheat, turn off the A/C, pull over, and call for help. We’re happy to report there were no injuries.”
