TOOELE COUNTY, Utah, June 5, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Highway Patrol is investigating a Thursday crash which claimed the life of a Riverton man and critically injured an other.

According to a statement from the UHP, Dave T. Wolf, 69, was driving a 2001 Ford Expedition northbound on SR-36 when the vehicle “went off the roadway” to the east.

The Expedition then nearly struck an ambulance as it veered back onto SR-3, before leaving the roadway a second time, and rolling.

“Both the driver and passenger were not wearing seatbelts and were ejected from vehicle,” the UPD said.

“The driver sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene. The passenger received minor injuries.”

Investigators are trying to determine if alcohol played a role in crash.

This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
