WEST JORDAN, Utah, Oct. 31, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Drivers in West Jordan should expect delays Thursday afternoon after a water main broke, then a second break occurred in the same area.

“A water main break on 90000 South near 2950 West is currently restricting westbound traffic to one lane,” said a tweet from West Jordan City at noon. “Crews hope to have the break repaired and be out of the area prior to the commute.”

However, it appears that may not be the case. A second tweet at 3:30 p.m. said: “A second water break has occurred on 9000 South. Westbound traffic on 9000 South between 2700 and 3200 West is limited to one lane. Expect significant delays in the area through tonight’s commute.”

Officials said the cold weather may have contributed to the water main break.

Gephardt Daily will have more on this developing story as information is made available.
