SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, March 19, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Ten people have been displaced after an early morning house fire Saturday in Salt Lake City.

Salt Lake City firefighters responded just before 4 a.m. to a two-alarm house fire at 865 W. 800 South. The fire caused severe damage to the outside of the home, a front room and the kitchen area.

Three of the residents were sent to the hospital. One adult male and two teens suffered smoke inhalation and second-degree burns. Two of the three were listed in serious condition, the third in fair.

The Utah Red Cross is assisting 10 residents who lived in the house or the shed behind it in finding a place to stay. There were also six dogs in the house who all escaped.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
