SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – June 3, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Gov. Gary Herbert will sign an executive order mandating water conservation for state agencies and state-owned and managed facilities. The governor hopes the executive order will set an example, and Utahns will also adopt long-term water conservation practices. The signing will take place following an internal briefing with the Governor’s Water Strategy Advisory Team discussing Utah’s current water situation, a short-term action plan by local water districts in response to the drought and an update on the state’s 50-year water strategy.

The signing will take place at the Governor’s Formal Office, Utah State Capitol today at 4:50 p.m.
