SPANISH FORK, Utah, Oct. 9, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Utah County Sheriff’s Office issued 19 citations on just one day at a popular Utah hot springs.

“The Fifth Water Hot Springs along Diamond Fork Road in Spanish Fork Canyon are a popular attraction year round,” said a news release from UCSO spokesman Sgt. Spencer Cannon. “And parking problems are also common year round. Many people choose to ignore clearly posted ‘NO PARKING’ signs.”

Sunday afternoon, Oct. 6, deputies issued 19 citations, the news release said. No cars were towed.

“Drivers may have to walk a little, but there is space before and after the no parking zone to legally park,” the news release said.

Deputies patrol the road and address problems as they occur, Cannon said.

“They issue parking citations to cars/violators,” the news release said. “When parked cars block emergency vehicle or travel trailer access, those cars may be towed at owner’s expense. Please observe parking restrictions!”
