MURRAY, Utah, Aug. 30, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A green 2004 Lamborghini is a total loss after catching fire on Interstate 215 in Murray on Thursday afternoon.
Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Nick Street told Gephardt Daily the driver was westbound on I-215 under I-15, approaching Redwood Road, at approximately 12:30 p.m., when the luxury car began smoking.
The driver was able to pull over to the side of the freeway and get out, but the car was quickly fully engulfed in flames, Street said.
Though emergency crews rapidly arrived on the scene, the Lamborghini is a total loss.
Street said the exact extent of damages is not yet known.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
