Layton Traffic Accident Kills 39-Year-Old Woman

LAYTON, Utah, June 22, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A 39-year-old woman was killed Tuesday night in what Layton police characterized as “a major traffic accident.”

Statements released on social media by the Layton City Police Department said the accident happened at about 10:30 p.m. on Antelope Drive between Woodland Park and 700 West.

The victim, whose identity has yet to be released, was broadsided in the intersection and pinned inside wreckage.

First responders worked to free the woman, but she ultimately succumbed to her injuries.

The exact cause of the accident has yet to be determined.
