SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Oct. 14, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — The LOVELOUD Festival is set to return in 2022, it was announced Thursday.
A tweet from the LOVELOUD Foundation says: Guess who’s back… May 2022, Salt Lake City, UT. Stay tuned. #LOVELOUD2022.”
The festival was last held in June 2019 at USANA Amphitheatre in West Valley City, and featured Kesha, Martin Garrix, Dan Reynolds, Tegan and Sara, and Daya, among others.
The festival was was founded in 2017 by Reynolds, the lead singer of Imagine Dragons.
Proceeds from tickets support local and national LGBTQ+ charities.
A news release for the 2019 festival said the aim is “to help ignite the vital conversation about what it means to unconditionally love, understand and support LGBTQ+ families and friends. LOVELOUD brings communities and families together to celebrate individuality and foster acceptance.”
The 2018 festival at Rice-Eccles Stadium raised more than $1 million, the release stated.
