MAGNA, Utah, March 1, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — A kitchen fire in one unit of a Magna four-plex forced tenants from their apartment homes Sunday afternoon.
Unified Fire crews were dispatched to the scene, near 8000 West and 3500 South, at about 12:19 p.m.
“The fire was limited to just the one unit”, according to Kelly Bird, Unified Fire public information officer.
No injuries were reported in the one-alarm fire, Bird said, although seven or eight people lived in that apartment where the fire broke out.
Investigators were assessing whether tenants from the units could return to their homes or would need help from the Red Cross finding shelter elsewhere.
