I’m feeling reflective today as it’s been 12 months since I signed the City’s first emergency order of the pandemic. So much has happened since then, and good things are on the horizon. #utpol #slc pic.twitter.com/iuCxnbYQd1

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, March 10, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall has issued a video message to coincide with the one-year anniversary of her issuing the first emergency order of the COVID-19 pandemic.
A Wednesday morning tweet from Mendenhall says: “So much has happened since then, and good things are on the horizon.”
Mendenhall says in the message: “Hello Salt Lake City, it’s March 10, which means it’s been one year to the day since I signed the city’s first local emergency order of the pandemic and I’m back here in my office in City Hall today which is a rarity and and it’s reminding me of that day 12 months ago.
“We have seen so much loss since then, but today I’m hopeful because the state announced that all adults will be eligible for the vaccine beginning April 1 and I have never in my life been so excited to receive a shot. When that registration opens up, please join me in making an appointment. If we do that and we don’t let up on social distancing, and wearing our masks, the days of 17 emergency orders will be behind us, please take care until then.”
