Millard County Sheriff’s officials warn of phone scam

MILLARD COUNTY, Utah, Aug. 8, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Millard County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents of a phone scam Thursday.

“We have been getting reports that scammers are using the Sheriff’s Office number and claiming to be Sheriff Richard Jacobson, then asking for their social security number,” said a Facebook post from officials. “Please warn your loved ones about this scam. Sheriff Jacobson will not call you and ask for your social security numbers.”
