SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, March 4, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake City police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash on 500 South near 1100 East.
SLCPD Lt. Joe Cyr told Gephardt Daily the crash was discovered by a passing police officer Wednesday at about 12:15 a.m.
Cyr said the motorcyclist — identified as a man in his 40s — collided with a concrete barrier while heading west on 500 South and was thrown into the eastbound lanes.
Traffic was closed in both directions while crash investigators were on scene.
