Gorillaz bringing ‘The Mountain’ tour to the Mountain West; presales start today for Oct. 20 gig in SLC

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, March 4, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — British virtual band Gorillaz has announced the next leg of its tour, with a human creator and virtual animated bandmates sharing the Delta Center stage on Oct. 20.

The band debuted in 1998 London with creators Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, and fictional, animated characters 2-D (vocals, keyboards, melodica), Murdoc Niccals (bass guitar), Noodle (guitar, keyboards, backup vocals) and Russel Hobbs (drums). 

Albarn will appear, in the flesh, on the tour, along with some human guest musicians. This tour will also feature special guests Little Simz and Deltron 3030.

Ticket sale information

  • Presale tickets are available as soon as today, Wednesday, at 10 a.m., with tickets available to people who have a Kong Card, a $4 per year digital subscription offered through the band.
  • Citi presale for card holders starts today at noon local time.
  • Artist presale ticket go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday to people who have signed up, through this link, by 10 a.m. Thursday.
  • General ticket sales start at 10 a.m. Monday, March 9, through gorillaz.com/tour.

The tour promotes The Mountain, an album released last week.

Gorillaz has toured the world from San Diego to Syria, Montevideo to Manchester, winning numerous awards, including the Jim Henson Creativity Honor, the tour release says. The band is recognized by The Guinness Book Of World Records as the planet’s Most Successful Virtual Act.
