MOUNTAIN GREEN, Utah, Jan. 4, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — Mountain Green Fire Protection crews performed a complex extrication Sunday afternoon after a sedan slid sideways on an exit ramp, and became impaled on a guardrail, pinning the driver inside.
The incident happened at the end of the Mountain Green on ramp, at exit 92 west, a statement from the volunteer fire agency says.
“The guardrail went through the car, pinning the driver’s leg,” the Mountain Green Fire statement says.
“It took the three responding rescue agencies nearly 50 minutes to carefully remove the patient from the immovable guard rail.
“First arriving Mountain Green Fire Chief 131 assessed the patient, who had non-life-threatening injuries, and directed Morgan and Mountain Green units to begin extrication and also called for Riverdale Fire Heavy Rescue 41 for assistance,” Mountain Green Fire’s statement says
