MORGAN COUNTY, Utah, Feb. 24, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — Mountain Green Fire responded Monday to a semi truck’s tire fire on eastbound Interstate 84 near Mountain Green.
The call came in at about 2 p.m.
“Day crew firefighters quickly attacked the fire and extinguished it before the fire entered the cargo area,” the Mountain Green Fire social media post says.
“We are always very concerned about the potential for a hazardous cargo, but we were able to see no hazard placards and the driver produced his bill of lading which showed he was hauling salt.
“Morgan Fire & EMS Engine 121 assisted by preventing runoff from entering the river. Units were out about an hour.”
