Kaysville, Utah, March 25, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Police in Kaysville say that after receiving several tips, they are now looking for a person of interest in the burglaries and vehicle theft that occurred early Saturday morning.

The incidents began at about 6:30 a.m. when the suspect, who drove up in what appeared to be black Audi Q5, used a pipe wrench to try to break into Biker’s Edge, according to an earlier news release from Kaysville Police Department.

The suspect was unable to break into the building.

About 30 minutes later, he was at Big O Tires, where he broke a window in a garage door, climbed through the jagged opening into a bay and stole a Toyota Sequoia by backing it out through the garage door, damaging the vehicle and destroying the garage door.

Police say the suspect then drove to where he had left the Audi, ditched the Sequoia, and drove away in the Audi.

Anyone who recognizes the person and/or the vehicle he was driving, is asked to contact Detective Steadman at [email protected] with any pertinent information.
