OGDEN, Utah, Oct. 30, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — An Ogden man is dead after an accident backing a vehicle out of his driveway on Monday.
Just before 6 p.m., the 80-year-old victim was backing out of his driveway, in the 1400 block of 12th Street, when he lost control of his vehicle, according to information shared by the Ogden Police Department.
The vehicle struck a female family member, then hit a tree. The driver was ejected when he hit the tree, and suffered unspecified critical injuries.
The woman, a family member, was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The man was taken to the hospital, where he died of his injuries. His name has not yet been released.
