Ogden police searching for suspect after man shot in leg

OGDEN, Utah, July 26, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Ogden police are searching for a suspect after a 28-year-old man was shot in the leg early Wednesday evening.

The victim is in stable condition after being transported to an area hospital by ground ambulance, the Ogden Police Department said in a news release.

The incident occurred at approximately 5:50 p.m. Officers were sent to the 2400 block of F Avenue after a shots-fired complaint.

“Both individuals involved are acquaintances and were engaged in a conversation outside of their vehicles off the roadway,” the news release said. “As the victim got back in his car, an individual from the other car fired a number of shots into the victim’s car, striking the victim.”

The suspect vehicle drove away westbound on 24th Street, and has not yet been located.
