OREM, Utah, March 14, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Orem police are asking for assistance in their investigation of a shooting on March 7.

The shooting happened in the area of 795 S. 1810 West at approximately 7:20 p.m.

Orem Police officials used the department’s Facebook page to post the request:

“We are looking for any residences or businesses that may have a camera pointed towards south State Street in Orem (areas between 2000 S. State St. and University Parkway) and then also pointed towards University Parkway from its intersection with State Street all the way down to Geneva Road.”

The post said that Orem Police Department has reached out to many about their cameras, “but there are likely to be others we have missed.”

“If your home, work, or business has cameras that see vehicular traffic on those areas of State and the Parkway, please call dispatch at 801-229-7070 and ask to speak with Detective Ahlborn.”

The post said that the investigation into the shooting is still active and few details are being released at this time.

“Please do what you can to keep an eye out for your neighborhoods,” the post goes on. “Invest in a doorbell camera or other home security camera. Be safe and be good to each other.”
