SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Jan. 13, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A known gang member who is wanted in connection with Dec. 19 drive-by shootings in two cities has been arrested.

Salt Lake City Police Department posted on Twitter Wednesday morning 25-year-old Terence Trent Vos is in custody. The department thanked the public for its assistance in making the arrest.

SLCPD had previously announced in a news release that an outstanding aggravated felony warrant had been issued for Vos, of Salt Lake City. Police warned Vos is a member of the Black Mafia Gangsters and should be considered armed and dangerous.

According to Salt Lake City Police Department Lt. Andy Oblad, the first shooting occurred at Vos’ mother’s home, near the area of 800 N. 1800 West, just after 9 p.m. when Vos was seen arguing with a female in the front yard. Police say Vos then fired six shots at the house, one of which pierced the front door.

Vos drove off, but reportedly later returned to the house and fired several more shots.

According to Unified Police spokesman Lt. Lex Bell, the second shooting occurred 30 minutes later at the home of Vos’ ex-girlfriend near 4360 S. 900 East, Millcreek.

“Vos walked up to the home and unloaded his gun into the house,” Bell said. “As he left, he slipped and fell and dropped several personal belongings. This helped us identify him as the shooter.”
