Police Seek Wigged Robbery Suspect in Millcreek

MILLCREEK, UTAH – June 23, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – The Unified Police Department (UPD) received a call of a bank robbery at the First Utah Bank, 3826 S. 2300 East, yesterday, June 22 at about 4:51 p.m. The suspect entered the credit union and presented a note to the teller. The note demanded money. The teller complied with the suspect’s demands. After the suspect got an undisclosed amount of money he fled from the bank on a Ridley bicycle. A witness saw the suspect take the wig off after the robbery and he was bald. He did not display or threaten any weapons. No one was injured during the robbery.

The suspect is a Caucasian male, 30-40 years old, 5’11”, with a thin build. He was wearing a fake black wig (but bald in real life), a University of Utah baseball hat, black “hoodie” style sweatshirt, tan cargo shorts, grey shoes, sunglasses, a fanny pack, and had a bandage on his right leg.

Officers searched the area extensively, but were unable to locate the suspect. They are releasing the suspect’s photo in hopes that members of the public will know who the suspect is. It is believed that this same suspect went in to other financial institutions last week and was acting suspicious and/or casing those institutions. If anyone has any information as to the identity of the suspect they are asked to contact the Unified Police Department at 385-468-9814.
