Police seeking suspect after strong-arm robbery in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Aug. 7, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are searching for a suspect after a strong-arm robbery in the Avenues in Salt Lake City Tuesday afternoon.

A man was working in the area of 189 E. 1st Ave. painting a building just after 10:10 a.m., said a news release from the Salt Lake City Police Department.

“A male that may have worked on the same painting crew approached the victim and produced a handgun demanding money,” the news release said. “The victim turned over what money he had and the suspect fled to a nearby vehicle.”
