GARDEN CITY, Utah, April 6, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — A body found Tuesday in Garden City has been identified as that of Tristen White, a man missing since Jan. 28.

“His next of kin has been notified,” a Rich County Sheriff’s notice says. “The investigation into his cause of death is ongoing.

“The Rich County Sheriff’s Office would like to offer heartfelt condolences to his family and friends and thank everyone who assisted in the search for Mr. White.”

A GoFundMe account has been established to raise funds for the funeral, it says.

“With a heavy heart, we are sharing that our beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend, Tristen White, has passed,” the page says.

“Tristen was only 27 years old and was a fun-loving and caring young man with a free spirit who lifted everyone’s mood with his goofiness and warmth. He was a very good friend who always gave back. We are all devastated by his sudden loss and miss him greatly. We are preparing to say our last goodbyes to Tristen.”

The funeral is planned for April 13 in Richfield. The account also lists alternative ways for people to donate or contact family members.

Gephardt Daily will share additional information on the cause of death as details are released.
