ROSE PARK, Utah, Oct. 16, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake City Fire crews are investigating a suspicious fire at a Rite Aid in Fairpark on Sunday afternoon.
Captain Davin Halvorsen, with Salt Lake City Fire, said crews responded at approximately 4 p.m. to a report of a fire inside the store at 150 N. 900 West.
Halvorsen said the fire was in one of the aisles, and activated the sprinklers, which brought the fire mostly under control. Fire crews then brought the blaze completely under control and ventilation was set up to clear out the smoke.
Arson investigators are now on scene and are calling the fire suspicious.
Gephardt Daily will have more on this developing story as information becomes available.
