Salt Lake City Police Seek Suspects In Home Invasion

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, June 9, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake City police are looking for three men they say broke down two doors at an apartment complex Wednesday afternoon.

The incident happened at about 12:30 p.m. at the complex, located at 1700 West and 400 North. Police say the first door the three men broke through was to a utility closet.

The men then kicked down a second door, and entered a residence, police say. A 27-year-old mother and her two sons, ages 6 and 7, were inside, and the mother called 911 to report the home invasion. One boy reported seeing a handgun.

The men left after one of them said, “Oh, wrong apartment,” according to information from the SLCPD. No one was injured in the incident.

Police say one man was white and two were Hispanic. One man was wearing a bandana, and two were wearing black shirts. All were believed to be in their 20s. Police are asking anyone with information on the three men is asked to call the SLCPD.
