Update: Salt Lake Police report missing, endangered woman found safe

Update: Sheila Hansen was found safe, Salt Lake City police tweeted at 10:40 p.m. Wednesday.

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Aug. 21, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — The Salt Lake City Police Department is asking the public’s help to find a missing woman.

“Please help us find Sheila, who has been missing since 2 pm and is considered at risk,” says an SLCPD statement released at just after 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Sheila Hansen is 68 years old and has brown/gray hair, believed to be worn in a ponytail, a poster issued in the case says.

Hansen is 5 feet 4 inches tall, and weighs about 135 pounds. She was last seen wearing gold-rimmed glasses, a tan button-up shirt, blue jeans and black and brown sandals. She was walking a beagle when she was seen near 2800 South and 1300 East.

Anyone with information on Hansen’s whereabouts is asked to call the SLCPD at 801-799-3000.
