WASATCH COUNTY, Utah, July 18, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Search and Rescue has been deployed after a running, unoccupied boat was found at Strawberry Reservoir Thursday.

A Facebook post from Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office said: “Today at approximately 2:30 p.m. the 911 Center received a call reporting an unoccupied boat at Strawberry Reservoir.”

The caller reported that the boat was still running and looked like it had drifted to shore, the post said.

“State park rangers and deputies responded to the area in attempt to locate the owner of the boat,” the post said. “They had negative contact.”

At that time Wasatch County Search and Rescue was notified and deployed.

Officials said later two brothers had been on the boat, ages 61 and 70. They had been in that area before, they added.

Gephardt Daily is following this developing story and will have updates as they are made available.
