SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah, Jan. 26, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A South Salt Lake family nearly lost its home after a fire started on the front porch Tuesday evening.

According to South Salt Lake Fire Cpt. Mike Ishida, the fire, at a home near 2700 South 50 West, engulfed the front porch and parts of the attic.

Ishida said investigators believe the fire might have been started by a barbecue grill, but the cause is still under investigation.

No one was injured, but the family will likely be displaced for a short time.
