More than 900 customers lose power in South Salt Lake after truck arm hits power lines

SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah, Aug. 1, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A delivery truck with its arm extended hit power lines Monday afternoon, causing an outage for hundreds of Rocky Mountain Power customers in South Salt Lake.

Police shut down the street at 300 West just north of 3300 South at approximately 2:30 p.m. The outage affected approximately 949 customers in the 84115 zip code, but power was restored at 3:25 p.m., according to the RMP website.
