State Street Pedestrian Pinned Beneath Vehicle
MURRAY, UTAH – July 3, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) — A man has been rushed to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray after being pinned beneath a car on State Street Friday morning.
According to Murray Police spokesman, Daniel Rose, the pedestrian was walking on the sidewalk near 4745 South State Street when a driver lost control of her car, smashing into shopping displays, a telephone pole and a parked motorcycle, before pinning the man beneath the rear of the vehicle.
Rescue crews managed to pull the victim free of the car. The individual’s identity and condition have yet to be released.
Police investigators say it is unclear why the driver lost control of her car. They say she tested negative for drugs and alcohol and may have suffered from a medical condition.
