WEBER COUNTY, Utah, Aug. 31, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — One man was shot in the head, another in the side, and a 5-year-old girl was shot in the hip/leg area early Sunday morning in an unincorporated area of Weber County.
The incident happened at about 1 a.m. near 9300 West and 900 South, a news release from the Weber County Sheriff‘s Office says. The call came from a man who had been shot, the release says.
“As deputies were enroute, additional calls came into dispatch of possibly other victims. When deputies arrived, they found a large gathering and multiple vehicles leaving the area.
“A male in his early 20s was found to be in critical condition from a gunshot wound to the head and was taken to the hospital by medical helicopter.

“A 5-year-old female sustained a gunshot wound to her leg/hip and was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A second male had been shot in the shoulder and was also transported by ambulance to an area hospital with not life-threatening injuries.”

WCSO detectives “are currently speaking to all the witnesses that were in the area and are working to identify a suspect,” the statement says.
No information was shared regarding the nature of the gathering.
“This remains an active and ongoing investigation. No further information will be given at this time.”
