FORT DUCHESNE, UTAH – August 17, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – A 20-month-old child died Sunday morning after she was backed over by a pick-up truck in her driveway.
According to Uintah County Sheriff’s Office, Turquoise Christensen was killed after investigators say a family member went outside to turn their truck around and when the driver reversed, they didn’t see the toddler had walked behind the truck.
Emergency crews responded to the call at the Country Village Mobile Home Park at 8100 East Highway 40, Sunday morning around 10 a.m.
The driver, with help from family and neighbors tried to save the child but she was pronounced dead at Uintah Basin Medical Center.
The investigation is still ongoing but deputies said this appears to be just a tragic accident.
