LEHI, Utah, July 11, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A toddler was transported to Primary Children’s Hospital Thursday after a near drowning in a private pool in west Lehi.

Lehi Fire Department Captain Steven Johnson told Gephardt Daily that officials responded to a call about the possible drowning in the early afternoon, and arrived to find the child —  a 2-year-old girl — breathing and alert.

The girl was driven to Primary Children’s Hospital to be checked out, as a precaution, Johnson said.

He was not qualified to comment on the child’s condition, Johnson said, but if it had been critical, she would have been transported by medical helicopter rather than ground ambulance.
