RICHFIELD, Utah, Oct. 15, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — A 20-year-old man has been booked into the Sevier County jail after he was found in a white pickup truck that was reported missing in connection with a 12-year-old Sanpete County girl.
The girl, whose family reported that she had gone missing after midnight on Tuesday, was found in the vehicle.
“Dispatch advised of an attempt-to-locate out of Sanpete County for a possible kidnapping of a 12-year-old female,” says a court document filed in the arrest of Aiden Dramore Larsen, filed by an officer of the Utah Highway Patrol.
“Dispatch notified Richfield City officers of a ping from a cell phone that showed the subjects possibly around the Snow College campus in Richfield,” it says.
A Richfield Police sergeant spotted the suspect truck at a Flying J gas station above Richfield and drove over to check it out. The trooper also responded to the area. The trooper passed the truck and recognized the license plate as the one in the attempt-to-locate notification.
As the truck was pulling out onto the road, the police sergeant was able to get behind it and activated his emergency lights.
That’s when, according to the court affidavit, the truck took an exit ramp at milepost 40 and headed west at “speeds reaching over 100 miles per hour. Multiple officers from multiple agencies joined in to assist.
“The vehicle left the freeway at milepost 31, entering the main street of Elsinore at speeds of 75 miles per hour.”
The pickup “then went east to highway 118 and then south towards Monroe. Units following stated the vehicle passed through Monroe at speeds in excess of 80 miles per hour.”
The pursuit was terminated due to concerns about public safety, but the truck was located a short time later, heading toward Joseph, where it got back on the freeway heading westbound, the document states.
“The pursuit continued up Clear Creek Canyon before the subjects took exit 7 and came back down the frontage road where we were able to spike the vehicle’s front tires on the overpass at around milepost 22. The vehicle entered the Sevier RV Park before running through multiple fences.
“The subjects in the pickup fled on foot before we were able to find the male subject hiding under a building by the river.”
The missing girl was “found and taken to receiving in Richfield.”
Larsen was arrested at 7:20 p.m., his court documents say, and he was booked into jail for investigation of the alleged crimes of:
- Failure to obey an officer, a third-degree felony
- Reckless endangerment, a class A misdemeanor
Larsen was ordered held without bail.
