Utah COVID-19 update: No new deaths, 185 more cases, 12K more vaccinated in past day

UTAH, May 25, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Department of Health on Tuesday reported 185 COVID-19 cases documented in the past 24 hours.

No new deaths were recorded, and 12,142 more vaccinations were given.

Positive cases recorded in Utah since the beginning of the pandemic now stand at 404,810.

Coronavirus deaths here stand at 2,292.

Vaccinations given now number 2,529,663. See the breakdown by area of the state on the chart immediately below.

Lab tests have been given to 2,670,417 people, an increase of 4,911 tested since Monday. Tests administered number 4,884,110, increase of 11,631 tests in the past day.

The rolling seven-day average for positive tests is 261 per day.

The rolling seven-day average for percent positivity of “people over people” is 6.5%. The rolling seven-day average for percent positivity of “tests over tests” is 3.7%.

There are 137 people currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Total hospitalizations from the beginning of the outbreak are 16,704.
