Syracuse police searching for dump truck that destroyed traffic light

SYRACUSE, Utah, May 25, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — The Syracuse Police Department is seeking leads on a dump truck that struck and destroyed a traffic light on Friday, then fled the scene.

“On Friday May 21, 2021, at noon a large construction vehicle destroyed a street light at the roundabout on 1000 West 2700 South. This was a hit and run.

“If anyone has information about this accident or recognizes the truck, please let us know. This type of street light is very expensive for the City replace. The case number is Y21-03195.”

The dump truck struck the traffic pole at the bottom, disconnecting it from its base and causing it to fall to the ground. See the incident, which happened west of Bluff Ridge Elementary Park an school,  in the video above.
