UTAH COUNTY, April 22, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — The Goshen Canyon Fire remains at 0% containment as of noon Wednesday.
The estimated acreage still stands at 400 acres, with a more exact mapping to be done later in the day, if conditions allow, Utah Fire Info said in a social media post.
The fire, believed to be human caused, was first reported at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, and is located three miles south of Goshen, the UFI statement says. Three structures are threatened, but no primary structures have been damaged as of noon Wednesday.
“Additional resources arrived at the fire this morning from the state of Utah, Forest Service, BLM and local fire departments,” a Utah Interagency Fire fact sheet says.
“Crews are working to establish anchor points and build containment line along the perimeter of the fire. The fire behavior has moderated along the fire perimeter, with occasional smoke still visible from internal areas of concern.”
The fire is being fueled by grass, sage and juniper. Resources at the scene include six fire engines, two dozers, one water tender and three crews, with total personnel at 67.

Firefighters from the state of Utah, the Forest Service, the Bureau of Land Management and local fire departments are working to establish anchor points and build a containment line along the fire’s perimeter, the statement says. A 40% chance of moisture is forecast for the area after noon.
There are no road closures at last report.
Gephardt Daily will share additional information as it is confirmed.
