Two water leaks close roads in Salt Lake City

NORTH SALT LAKE, Utah, Oct. 2, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Two water leaks have closed roads in Salt Lake City Sunday morning, according to officials.

South Metro Fire tweeted at approximately 10 a.m. that Main Street is closed between 600 North and 900 North due to the leaks, and drivers are being advised to use an alternate route.

North Salt Lake officials confirmed that the two leaks are at Main Street and Pacific, and 800 N. and 400 East., and roads are closed in both those areas.

The fire department added that repairs are underway, but it is not known at this time how long the roads will remain closed.

SDMF tweeted at 1:30 p.m. all water leaks have been isolated and the system pressure is back to normal.
