MURRAY, Utah, May 31, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A West Valley City man has been charged on suspicion of raping a woman at a Murray massage business.

According to charging documents, the incident happened on Jan. 15 of this year.

“During the message, Jose became aggressive and forced (the woman’s) clothes off of her,” says a probable cause statement filed by an officer of the Murray Police Department.

“Jose than grabbed her neck” and raped her, the statement says. “During the assault, the victim lost consciousness and could not breathe due to Jose putting so much
pressure around her neck.

“An employee forced the message door open and Jose ran out of the spa with just his pants on. All of his clothes were booked for evidence.”

Tejeda was booked into jail on Tuesday. He faces charges of:

  • Rape, a first-degree felony
  • Aggravated sexual assault, a first-degree felony
