WILLARD, Utah, March 23, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — A Flying J gas station in Willard was evacuated at about noon Monday after the manager called dispatch to report a bomb threat.

Crews from the Willard City Police and Fire departments came to the scene, at 600 W. 750 North, as did officers from the Utah Highway Patrol, the Weber County Sheriff’s Office, and the Box Elder County Fire Marshal’s Office.

“The building was evacuated for around two hours while an on-site investigation was conducted,” a Willard City Police statement says.

“The premises were deemed clear, and employees as well as customers were allowed back into the building.”

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident. The WCPD says there is no threat to the public.

“The Willard City Police Department does have a person of interest, and has been in contact with that individual. This is still an active investigation, and details are limited for release at this time.”
