SANDY, Utah, June 16, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — A woman was run over and killed by a semi Wednesday morning after a motorcycle accident left her on the roadway of northbound Interstate 15 in Sandy.
The accident happened at about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, Utah Highway Patrol spokesman Lt. Nick Street wrote in a message to Gephardt Daily.
“Sounds like there were two riders on the same motorcycle,” Street wrote. “They started to fishtail and laid the bike down.
“They both became separated from the bike, a passing semi was able to avoid the male driver, but didn’t see/avoid the female passenger and she was killed.”
Northbound traffic was blocked during the investigation.
