Police Continue Search For Possible Third Suspect In Houston Shooting, 2 Dead

HOUSTON, May 29 (UPI) — One suspect is dead and another injured in what was described as an active shooter situation in Houston Sunday afternoon. A third person was found dead in a nearby car, Houston police said.

Multiple shots were fired near Memorial Drive, KHOU in Texas reported.

The Harris County Precinct 5 Constable’s Office believes there may be a third shooter still on the loose.

No identities have been released at this time.

Houston police shut down Memorial Drive and are continuing to ask people to avoid the area.

“The latest information is that one suspect is dead at the scene and one suspect was wounded and has been transported to an area hospital. One citizen was found deceased inside of a vehicle,” police announced on their Facebook page.

The shooting was occurring in the 13000 block of Memorial Drive, near Wilcrest, ABC 13 reported.

The city of Houston issued an alert, asking people in the area to shelter place until further notice, shutting doors and windows, drawing the shades and sheltering in an interior room away from windows and doors.
